"Crew is one of the most memorable parts of our three years at Wood Hill. In 6th grade we learn how trust is important and that we all need to work together as a team. On the ropes course, there is one obstacle that you have to swing on the tires and get the whole group to the other side. For me this was the most fun. in 7th grade we mainly focused on the bullying and situations going on at school. Crew is an opportunity to say what you're thinking and hear other people's opinion, and maybe learn more abut that person that you wouldn't normally hang out with. In the beginning of the year last year I didn't have any close friends in my Crew, but now looking back I made so many new friends with people who I never would have expected. Over all, Crew teaches you to be outgoing and learn more about yourself and others."

"Crew gives us students a time to discuss and learn how to rust one another and how to use teamwork in our everyday routine. 6th grade Crew paid a lot of attention on how to trust each other in very different scenarios. We spent some of our time on the ropes course trying different activities together. 7th grade Crew was spent talking about incidents that had effected us like bullying and how to help others. 8th grade we spend time talking, getting to know each other, and looking back at the three years we all sent together."

"Crew is great for just hanging out and blowing off steam at the end of a long day. In 6th grade we played games and did the outdoor ropes course. That was a lot of fun when it was nice out and we could challenge ourselves and work on teamwork. 7th grade Crew was a little different. We mostly talked about situations going on at school and that was awesome because it was a place where everyone would listen and give feedback. Crew is great because o are put not small groups of about ten people and sometimes you get into a group with people you never talk to, and eventually become closer with people you didn't expect. I'm in 8th grade now and we basically get together and talk about anything, which is a nice way to relax at the end of the day. its fun to have a period to do activities, help around the school, or just to talk. Crew is a great way for different people to come together and help each other, the school, and each others' confidence."

"If I had to put Crew into one word, I would use teamwork. In 6th grade, we had different adventures on the ropes course which had taught us how to trust each other. In 7th grade Crew, we learned about each other and got to know one another. 7th grade Crew was a very memorable experience for me at Wood Hill because I got to meet and interact with people who I do not normally see. 8th grade Crew has tied these two things together, trust and making new friends. Crew has challenged me to do new activities and teach me some great lessons, some which are not taught in the classroom."

"Crew is the definition of leaderships and teamwork. In crew, no problem is left unsolved and no-one person is left out or feels excluded. Although at the moment Wood Hill is the only school to do crew, I believe everyone should have the opportunity to participate in a team and leadership based activity whether it be sports, leadership course, etc. Crew for me was a great experience and was always fast paced and fun, no other activity during the school day compared to it and that’s what made it so much fun."
